Courtney is an award-winning writer and filmmaker with degrees in French Literature and Intercultural Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota and the Sorbonne Université Paris, France. Having lived throughout the world she has worked as a ballet and hip-hop dance teacher in Rio de Janeiro, a camp counselor in the Pyrenées, and an English teacher in Prague.

With 20 years experience writing features, ghost writing non-fiction bestsellers, and strategizing content design for companies like Teladoc Health, she feels most alive when writing and directing human narratives. Courtney has 17 years experience in the marketing agency world, has been the national spokesperson for Sam’s Club, and is a director on the board for the Casa de Cultura Brasileira NFP. Chicago-based, she’s the proud mother of two incredible boys.
